Angel Sequeiros. His legacy.
Angel Sequeiros, the youngest son of six children, was born in January 1920 in Cabreira, Salvaterra de Miño (province of Pontevedra) into the heart of a humble family of Galician farmers. Survival and fending from the land took up all of the family´s time and effort.
In 1938 he was conscripted and forced to fight in the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). After returning home he got married and emigrated, like many thousands of Galicians did, in search of a better life for his family.
Returning to Galicia in 1960 he felt the call of the land and bought Quinta Gaviñeira, The cellar is built in an antique farm sheds restored and covered on the interior with timber of the property, it has the necessary equipment to make wines with a strict balance between tradition and modern oenology.
A few years later he began to expand the plantation until reaching the current 7.4 hectares (18,28 acres) from which we obtain this Albariño wine which we hope you enjoy as much as we do in creating it.
